Hurricane Sandy in the Rockaways

Neighbors homes

  1. Any damage can be fixed or replaced lives cannot hope everone is alright……

  2. Pearl – I am saddened by your picture, yet so thankful you all are okay. Prayers and thoughts for you and everyone affected.

  3. Wow, what a picture. I hope all can get back to normal for everyone soon, but i know it’s going to take a long time. Take care of yourself, Pearl. Hugs, Jan

  4. Pearl, it breaks my heart to see what has happened to NYC and to everyone who lives there. It wasn’t that long ago that I was there for two months, and for that time, it was my home. I just found out that a very good friend just got their power back and they are okay. I’ve been waiting to hear form them all this time. A beautiful city like NYC has gone through far too much. You are all indeed in my thoughts and my prayers as you find a way to work through recovery and rebuilding your homes and businesses. I agree with the others, everything seen in the photo can be replaced but a life cannot. I am so glad you are all safe and have survived physically. Now to work towards tomorrow, one step and one day at a time. You will get there. We are all here for you if you need anything, and for support. Love and hugs.
